Over 200 retired military generals and admirals have endorsed Donald Trump for president, praising his leadership and warning that the Biden-Harris administration’s policies have weakened national security and left the U.S. vulnerable to growing threats.
Over 200 retired military generals and admirals have publicly endorsed former President Donald Trump in an open letter released on Monday, praising his leadership and asserting that he has the necessary skills to ensure the safety and security of the United States. The letter, organized by Flag Officers 4 America, highlights Trump’s track record of protecting national security, maintaining domestic safety, and upholding the Constitution.
The group contrasted Trump’s leadership with their critique of the current administration under President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. They accused the administration of weakening the country through divisive policies centered on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), which they argue have exacerbated political and social strife. The letter warned that such divisions make the U.S. vulnerable to foreign adversaries, citing a bipartisan report that described the current global threat level as the most dangerous since World War II.
The retired officers urged Americans to support Trump’s candidacy, framing the upcoming election as pivotal to the nation's future. Their endorsement comes as the Biden administration faces mounting domestic and international crises, including the fallout from a deadly hurricane in the southeast and escalating conflict in the Middle East. In contrast to Biden and Harris, who were criticized for being absent during critical moments, Trump visited hurricane-ravaged Georgia, bringing supplies and starting a relief fund.
The letter also condemned several Biden-Harris policies, particularly on immigration and defense spending. They pointed to what they called the dangers of an open border policy, inflation’s impact on military funding, and concerns about President Biden’s physical and mental fitness for office. These issues, the officers claimed, have placed America in a “perilous situation,” making this election one of the most important in the nation’s history.
The officers’ endorsement comes as a counter to a letter signed by over 700 former government officials supporting Vice President Harris. However, the officers supporting Trump argued that the nation must choose between preserving traditional values or continuing down a path toward what they described as “socialism and authoritarian cultural Marxism.” They concluded with a strong call for voters to back Trump, stating that the country's future and security are at stake.
