Trump Campaign Shatters Fundraising Record Following Guilty Verdict

In the wake of a historic guilty verdict, the Trump campaign nearly doubled its fundraising record, pulling in $34.8 million from small-dollar donors in just one day.

The Trump campaign announced on Friday that it nearly doubled its single-day fundraising record following Donald Trump's conviction in his criminal hush money trial by a New York jury.

The campaign reported raising $34.8 million from small-dollar donors after the historic verdict on Thursday afternoon, which found Trump guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records.

Senior campaign advisors Chris LaCivita and Susie Wiles stated in a press release that nearly 30% of these donors were new to the Trump donation platform, WinRed.

The top aides reiterated Trump's claim that the "real verdict" will come on Election Day, November 5.

Trump is poised to make history as the first former U.S. president and major-party nominee to participate in an election after being convicted of crimes.
