Former President Donald Trump delivered a powerful message at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee on Thursday night, declaring that America stands on the verge of a new Golden Age, but it requires "the courage to seize it."

Trump addressed the enthusiastic crowd at the Fiserv Forum after formally accepting the Republican party's presidential nomination, emphasizing the critical juncture at which the nation stands. "Just a few short days ago, my journey with you nearly ended," he began, alluding to the recent assassination attempt that almost took his life. "And yet, here we are tonight, united in our vision for the future, promise, and renewal of America. We live in a world of miracles."

The former president was referring to the harrowing incident at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a 20-year-old assailant, Thomas Matthew Crooks, attempted to take his life. The bullet grazed Trump's right ear, while Crooks tragically killed one attendee and injured two others before being neutralized by a Secret Service sniper.

In his speech, excerpts of which were obtained by Newsmax, Trump reflected on the unpredictability of life's path and the divine plan that guides it. "But if the events of last Saturday make anything clear, it is that every single moment we have on earth is a gift from God," he stated. "We must cherish each day and dedicate ourselves to the people and the country we love."

Trump's message was clear and inspiring: America must not settle for mediocrity. "For too long, our nation has settled for too little. You have been told to lower your expectations and to accept less for your families. I am here tonight with the opposite message: Your expectations are not big enough. It is time to start expecting and demanding the best leadership in the world, leadership that is bold, dynamic, relentless, and fearless."

"We are Americans. Ambition is our heritage. Greatness is our birthright."
